This marks the third edition of the collaboration between the Mediations Biennale and PGA (Poznań Game Arena).

On this occasion, we are presenting a multimedia performance by MDAP Mario D. Alvarado, (MDAP – Mindful Data Audiovisual Project), which consists of generative images and sounds created live whilst scanning  the bodily functions of the artist, who is connected to a computer.

Hall 6 will host exhibitions by five art colleges from Poland and Taiwan, showcasing works by artists, students and invited guests.

Concept

Symularis are an evolutionary planets of art, an environment formed by artworks and the laws of art—simulacra. Upon stepping through the gallery doors, we enter the only concave planet discovered in the universe—a world consisting solely of „Inner Spaces.” Like a gas bubble separated from denser water by a surface-tension membrane, it drifts and shifts, creating new dimensions as it encounters other spaces of art. An immersive parallel reality exists within our universe, characterized by an inverted density of its environment and the planets within it; this teaches us that our perception of the universe is limited by the boundaries of our own awareness. We have already discovered digital and virtual realities, and we are now creating new, interactive environments driven by artificial intelligence. It is time, following Stanisław Lem’s *Solaris*, to discover the inner spaces of Symularis—present even on the micro-scale within our own bodies—which serve as vessels for what we have hitherto called art.
